Hit or Miss: Full Review on Kérastase's Line

Among the many luxuries of the beauty world are products that stand out for their quality and effect. And if you're someone who's coped with bad hair days at least once, then you'd probably know the struggle behind finding a good shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment that actually works.

I've taken on the task of completely using several products from Kérastase's Discipline line.

The products I used were:

• Bain Fluidealiste (shampoo) - Price: $52

• Fondant Fluidealiste (conditioner) Price: $40

• Keratine Thermique (leave in treatment) Price: $37

• Maskeratine (Hair mask) Price: $59

WHAT I LOVED: The products do make your hair smoother and shinier. What truly impressed me was how fast I was able to style my hair after using the line. I have naturally frizzy, curly hair, and if there's a shampoo and conditioner that could tame my locks, then I'm hooked! Sometimes I did use the Keratine Thermique before styling with a hot tool and it worked amazingly well.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: The shampoo bottle itself is too small for someone who has long hair. Although the kit does work amazingly well, I found that when I didn't use the Maskeratine my hair did not look and feel exactly the same. If you use the shampoo and conditioner on their own you'll notice volume, but your hair will feel dry and frizzy.

MY TAKEAWAY: In general the line does have more pros than cons. If you do purchase Kérastase you will notice the positive change when compared to your current hair treatments. For the very best results apply the mask at least an hour before washing your hair. For the most part I do love the line and would recommend it.
