Over time I’ve experimented with countless amounts of products to gradually help with my dry skin. To this day, I still haven’t encountered my holy grail, but I’ve come a long way.
For the last couple of months, my skin has taken a toll of its own. I've experimented breakouts and a severely dry canvas. To cope with the problem, I've combined two products that I gently apply underneath my makeup. The goal is to balance out my complexion, without it looking oily or very dry.

MD Solar Sciences - Mineral Creme, SPF 50

I am not fond of mattefying formulas, but lately, a hydrating moisturizer just looks too greasy. What I do every morning is to dab and coat my skin with a creamy SPF, like the one from MD Formulas. In the beginning you'll see a white cast, but don't worry, it'll gradually fade away.
What I don't recommend is using this product by itself—it will cause your skin to flake. To solve the problem, pair it with:
Garnier's Skin Active, Moisture Rescue, SPF 15

This formula by itself will make your face appear oily, especially if paired with a dewy foundation. The best way to use this product is by combining a pea size amount with MD Solar's SPF. The duo will make for an even texture that's not too oily nor matte.
If you're wondering the foundation I am currently using is Hourglass' Illusion, get it here!
